Used to determine the resistance of concrete samples to rapidly repeated cycles of freezing and thawing in a specifi ed procedure. Consists of a stainless steel cabinet, 3/4 hp (0.55 kW) refrigeration unit producing temperatures to 0 °F (-17.8 °C), electric resistance heaters, 7 day recording thermometer and automatic controls for up to 9 freeze-thaw cycles in a 24 hour period.
