Plunger Penetration Apparatus
Standard Vicat Apparatus determines consistency and set times of hydraulic cement, mortar and grout.This device has a reversible 300g stainless steel rod with a 10mm (0.4in) dia. plunger at one end and a 1mm (0.04in) needle at the other. The adjustable indicator on the rod may be set to indicate in either orientation on the 0-50 x 1mm graduated scale.

- Vicat Apparatus, Cast alumunium frame stainless steel rod.,0 - 50 mm scale. Initial needle, Steel needle, 1 mm dia, with footing, brass thread.
- Final needle, Steel needle, 1 mm dia, brass thread.
- Conical Ring Mold, 70 mm base dia, 60 mm top dia, 40 mm height
- Glass plate, 10 mm thick, 12 x 12 cm.

This tester is used for measuring the needle penetration test of petroleum asphalt. If you attach a circular cone to the tester, you also can do the consistency test of grease.
