Hand operated soil compaction hammers. Model LA-3100 features 2 in (50.8 mm) diameter tamping face weighing 5.5 lb (2.49 kg) and 12 in (304.8 mm) drop. Hammers have vent holes to prevent back pressure and a comfortable ball end handle. 10 lb Model LA-3105 features tamping face weighing 10 lb (4.5 kg) and 18 in (304.8 mm) drop. Constructed from machined steel and plated to resist corrosion. The LA-3100 (5.5 lb) is part of the Proctor Test Set.
