Diff Quik (DQ) umumnya digunakan dalam praktik untuk memeriksa apusan darah dan sampel sitologi . Ini adalah sistem tiga langkah yang menggunakan metanol sebagai fiksatif diikuti dengan larutan jingga / eosinofilik, lalu larutan biru / basofilik.

- Larutan Noda 1 (Eosin G dalam Buffer Fosfat) - Warna Merah.
- Larutan Pewarnaan 2 (Pewarna Thiazine dalam Buffer Fosfat) - Warna Biru.
